Eight Years In: Celebrating Our Anniversary with a SoirÉe

Lu Hickman Creative Co. turns eight, and we celebrate the milestone the way it deserves to be celebrated — with a soirée. An evening set aside to gather the clients, collaborators, and friends who shape this studio, and to raise a glass to the work and the relationships that make eight years possible.

Eight years is a meaningful marker for any creative practice. It is long enough to have built a body of award-winning work across branding, identity systems, brochures, websites, and environmental design, and long enough to watch clients grow alongside us — from first proposals to category-defining brands. It is also long enough to know what we stand for: industry-specific creative expertise, made with rigor and warmth, for the organizations doing serious work in the world.

The room fills with the people behind that work. Founders and marketing leads from the firms we serve, photographers and printers and developers from our production circle, longtime mentors, new collaborators, and the friends who have cheered this studio on since year one. Conversation moves easily between past projects and what is coming next, and the energy in the room is the clearest reminder of why this studio exists.

Bubbly is poured, toasts are made, and the night settles into the kind of warm, unhurried gathering that mirrors how we like to work — close, considered, and genuinely glad to be in the room together. Small details set the tone: a curated playlist, flowers on every surface, and a thank-you note tucked into every guest's hand as they leave.

The soirée is a thank-you, first and foremost. To every client who trusts us with their story, every partner who brings craft to the production side, and every friend of the studio who champions this work. None of the recognition, the awards, or the milestones happen without you.
