Lu Hickman Creative, an award-winner graphic design agency in Chicago is hiring a Graphic Design Jr to join our team.
The ideal candidate will assist and be mentored by the Creative Director in print and digital projects, photo enhancement, illustration, typography, and presentations. You will participate in projects from concept to completion while collaborating with other team members, and be part of meetings, networking events and workshops.
This position requires motivation, organization, commitment, and would be great for someone who is eager to apply theoretical concepts to real projects.
Position Terms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related discipline
  • This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week from Chicago’s West Loop office. Easily accessible via public transportation
  • Working hours are negotiable
  • Public Transportation reimbursement
Required Skills
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • MAC or PC platforms
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks, as directed by the Creative Director
  • Articulate, personable, and energetic
  • Interested in being part of a growing award-winning team
  • Capable of working on tight deadlines and to manage time properly
  • Good understanding of composition, color theory, and typography

Graphic Designer Senior - Freelancer

We are looking for a Freelance Senior Graphic Designer to…

We are looking for a Freelance Senior Graphic Designer to join our award-winning team for upcoming projects.

This role requires an enhanced level of strategic planning, critical thinking, resourcefulness and the ability to sell your creative ideas. You must be able to maintain the highest levels of quality control and adhering to tight deadlines with limited supervision. Projects will require a strong understanding of A/E/C technical proposals, RFP knowledge, and proficiency on Adobe Creative Suite.

Position Terms

  • This is a freelance position working from our Chicago’s West Loop office
  • Working hours are negotiable
  • Per project basis, OT may be required
  • Hourly remuneration

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of Print Graphic Design and Print Production experience
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be capable of creating templates, infographics and other collateral (both digital and print)
  • Previous experience with A/E/C Technical Proposals and RFP knowledge is a plus
  • Work closely with the client and other designers
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for graphics, typography, and layout
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines and multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret technical documents
